Does anyone have a low-cost solution to make the SRS light go out in my '95 Disco? A local Land Rover specialty repair shop (which I have a great deal of respect for) says the computer code indicated that there was an "open resistor" in the wiring harness. According to them, the only fix is to replace the entire wiring harness. They said technically, if you knew where the resistor was located, you could replace it, but that Land Rover will not allow any work on the harness. Sounds like it's a real bear to replace the harness - it's snaked everywhere in and around the dash such that the entire dash needs to be pulled. They also said that Land Rover won't tell you if the air bags will work or not. Just wondered if anyone has found a cheaper way out. |
