I'm running the HD springs right now and they're fine, but I do a lot of towing. When I put the trailer on the back, you can see it really weigh the truck down. How are the Xtra HD springs?

If the trailer is really weighing the back end down you might have another problem and new springs won't fit it. Do you know what the tongue weight is on your trailer? You may need to balance the load on the trailer better so there isn't so much weight pushing your rear end down.

I have a 5500lb boat/trailer that I tow with my stock sprung disco and it only pushes the back down an inch or two... you probably need to balance the trailer better...

Paul -

If your wife can get written-off LRs it might be time to start your own parts pulling business on the side !!

JP - if weight re-distribution doesn't fix it, maybe air bags in the rear springs would work ?

You may want to get a weight distribution hitch set-up. This will allow you to control the amount of weight directed onto the rear of the disco. I have outfitted several disco's with these and they tow trailers that run well into the 6k pound category.
