Is there an easy way to do this without paying the dealer? What batteries do I need and how do I pop the key apart? Thanks in advance. I love this board. Oh yeah 99 DII |

Just be careful, and use a flat-head screwdriver, on the slot on the top, below the loop. The key will work without the battery, so pop it out, and take it to a radio-shack or watch shop for replacement. |

Also make certain you buy the correct battery. Check the manual for the battery number. Any other type even if correct voltage, can give you problems. When fitting the new battery, remove the old, press the button and hold for 10seconds to discharge the capacitors, then fit the new battery. [Try to keep greasy fingers off the new battery.] You might need to point handset at car and press handset'lock' several times to syncronise hand-set with car security. |
