I've just reinstalled some ABS line extensions on my 99 D2 and these lights came on. Should I have pulled the fuses for the ABS first or disconnected the battery? Any way to reset these without a trip to the dealer? I've used these extensions a month ago and they worked fine but had to take them off when I went to the dealer b/c they wouldn't work on it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Aaron |

I just installed some this weekend, I did not disconnect the battery or do anything special. I did start the car once with one line disconnected on accident and the ABS and TC light came on. I shut it off and connected the line, the restarted the car and drove it for about three blocks and the light went away. I made sure that I soldered the connections and shrink-wrapped them when I made them and they seem to work fine. When I was installing them I only installed one at a time and took the car around the block a few times then installed another and so on, you may want to try installing them one at a time and you can find out what line is causing the problem and redo it. If you did not solder and shrink-wrap them to start with I would recommend that you take them off and do so. |
