My radio in my 98 Disco works well except for the weather band. When I turn on the weather band function, it doesn't find a frequency. NO WB is displayed on the LCD. I live near Chicago and generally receive about four frequencies. Worked very well until recently. Thank you for any advice/info. |

Hey Jim. Sorry to go off topic here but I don't have a weather band on my 2003 they say they no longer set them up that way anymore, would be nice arround the skyway into western Michigan in the winter. My question is where can I go off roading near Chicago. I live in the south loop now but I am from Northern Ontario and lived in Calgary Alberta where there are ample off-road possibilities. Ross, Two places I know of. 1.) Badlands located in Attica Indiana. It's about 2 hours and 45 minutes south of Chicago in Indiana down Rt 41. Take the Dan Ryan (94) south to 394 (Danville exit) south. Continue south through the town of Beecher where 394 turns into Rt 17 and Rt 1. Stay on this road, it will take you into Indiana (about 45 minutes to Indiana from South Loop and you haven't had to make a turn yet). Once your in Indiana the road turns into Rt 2. Honk your horn at this point, your passing my house. Continue on rt 2 until first stop light. (about 3 1/2 miles) Turn right at light. This is rt 41. Takes you to Attica where you follow the rest of wheelers. 2.) Silver Lake Michigan. (Get Map) Now everyone knows where I live. Is that good? All well, all are welcome, bring gifts. (quality beer and playboy cigars. We can wheel right here in my feilds.) That's right, I live in Indiana on a farm. Surprised? |

I wonder if my 96 SE7 has WB. Might have to actually dig out the owner's manual. :-) |

Pull your radio out and see if both of your antenna leads are attached. One of them probably came loose and is causing you to not get a weather band. Hope this helps! Z |

zpukajlo, Thanks, I'll give it a look. Steve, if your radio has WB it will have a button on it with the letters WB. All you have to press the button and it will auto search. After your done, press the button again and it will switch back to normal. |
