My t-case seems to have a whine to it, 96 D1 with 55,000 miles. Is there any additive I can put it that would quiet it down a bit? Thanks in advance

I use Moroso climbing gear oil - and my Tcase is now very quiet. I can't speak for the long term results/problems because it's only been in for about 6K now.

BTW - available from Summit Racing among other places.

Lucas also makes some gear oil additives, I use theirs in the slushbox, but haven't tried anywhere else.

I have a 2000 DII that whines as well. I is at it's worst at about 70 mph. I have about 60,000 miles and the whine seems to be getting a little louder. Any and all suggestions about quieting it down would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't you learned not to mess with that thing yet :)

How much climbing gear oil do you put in?

No -I've been told I learn really, really slowly!! I put it in the RRC tranny since it's getting up there in miles. We'll see

Put 100% climbing gear oil in - once the weather gets warm, I'll drain a little and see how it looks.
