to make a long story short, my battery was disconnected which screwed up my radio and i tried to remember the code, which was wrong, and my radio was beeping like mad. i even have my tape adapter from a portable cd player stuck in it. i want to get a cd player but i dont feel like paying $600 for a land rover cd changer. any way to get one in there without having to change out all my speakers because of my factory subs?

Check the archives. I have a 97 D1 I installed a Alpine 7894 cd/mp3 indash unit. Used the exsisting amp and speakers. Sounds great! There are a few who have also done the installs.
