Does anyone know what size bulb is used to illuminate the "P-R-N-D-3-2-1" selector on a '96 Discovery? I pulled the burnt out bulb out and all the writing is gone, pulled the good one out and the only writing on it is: "VCH 1112 12V 0-1A". When I went to the local part store, I could not find one that had those numbers on it or a conversion chart that had those numbers. The clerk there told me to get Sylvania 2821 (W3W) but the new bulb is about twice as bright as the old one, so I don't think its the right one. I looked in the LR service manual and I could not find an exact reference to that particular bulb, but it appeard that most of the bulbs for that type were 1.2W. Thanks, Jeff |

Yeah, I got a package of the 5W "european model" lamps from Pep Boys too, They are a bit brighter than OEM but I find it to be better. Mark |

You mean to tell me the gear selector is lit? Who would have known. Nearly a year and 40K miles and it hasn't stopped me yet. |
