how come when I flush my PS system I only add 1 qt of ATF back in, the book says 3. what am I missing here? |

Derek: You got me, but I just mounted a new pump and reservior and it only took slightly less than a quart. I suspect that we are not flushing the gearbox particularly well. The ullage of the gearbox is probably more than we would expect. Paul |

I let the bleeder stay open until no more fluid was coming out, turned the wheel to the left and right in the process. how else is there to flush the system? my LR mechanic told me to do it this way and he was surprised I only get 1 qt out also. |
