I am about to replace my Nissan Pathfinder. I am looking for more towing capacity and equal off roadability(beaches and easy trails). Any thoughts? thankyou, Eddie |

Equal off road ability? I loved my pathfinder, but the first time I took it into some muddy grass I got stuck for 3 days. It took a 3 ton tractor with 4 wheel drive to get it out! I have never been stuck in my Discovery, especially if you were to get a Series II with traction control. Be advised though, Discovery's do have a lot of annoying little problems, I would advise getting a used one that has been well taken care of. Maybe a certified used one if you have the money, then you have a vehicle history, a list of problems that the dealer has already fixed, and a warrantee. Once these annoying little things are fixed, they tend to stay fixed, get a car with 30-40k on it! And drive a lot of them before buying. You will learn a lot about potential problems to avoid and you will end up getting a good truck. My Personal Land Rover Site |
