im selling my explorer and getting a land rover discovery, 95 or 96 probably, before i decide what im going to do with the tires, how much of a lift would i need to fit BFG A/T 31x10.50s.
also, for suspension lifts, who makes suspension lifts in the 2-4inch range that are under $1000 and where can i find them?

Go to RoverTym.com. Then, call John and tell him what you are wanting to do with your Rover. He's a great resource and won't sell you anything you don't need. He makes a helluva product as well.

Oh, and welcome to the addiction!

lifts aren't that expensive i got mine for around 500 or a little more i beleive (OME HD)
you don't need a lift though to fit those tires

pick up a body lift while your at it

thanks guys, also, since im still looking for a disco, what years are better than others in the 94-97 range?
for reliability and off roading that is
one more thing, i love every aspect of land rovers except one detail that makes me a bit hesitant, when thinking about taking the disco off road i cant help but look at it and wonder if itll roll over since it looks top heavy, anything i can do to the disco or is it needed to settle this question

i believe the a stock rover (disco series 1) can traverse a 45 degree slope before tipping...this is in the manual...which are usually hesitant in telling you the very limit...but that is what mine says...
the '93 and '95 were the first two years the disco was in the USA...they had a 3.9l compared the '96 - '99 4.0...the '96-99 are a little more city in my opinion...i have a '95 and my parents have owned a '97 and now a '00...the '97 was just a lil' more nice inside...for me though i want something as truckish as possible...which is what my '95 is...
later,
jess
if you want specs...just wait...others will post...i believe they went from a OBD1 to a OBD2 in '96...

also when you say the 95 is more truckish are you reffering to just the interior or is the actual disco more off-roadable
