What does this code mean???? This is what I pulled from my truck and then looked it up on the Spanish trail Rover site but I don't know what this means.

If this is due to a check engine light then it might be due to your ABS sensor(s) being out of spec or some type of needed PROM upgrade on the ECU. Is the ABS light on too? I had this error code (I think) recently and this is what I was told - turned out my ABS just needed to be reset and all o.k. I think the PROM upgrade applied to 96 or earlier vehicles??

My ABS light is on!

What is this PROM upgrade you speak of? I am not familiar with what that is and was it a factory recall on 96s??

Thanks

I'm not really certain about the PROM upgrade but my understanding was it is a physical chip that would be added to or replaced on the ECU. I think it was a TSB & not a recall but my tech said he saw the error code mostly on Defenders, not Discos, when he worked at the dealership. Apparently the light came on quite often and the upgraded chip fixed it. With your ABS light on too, you might very well have the same problem I had - ABS sensore causing the rough road error code.
