Anyone know what the D263 and D274 recall modifications are? Is there a site listing that info somewhere? Just got a recall notice from the dealer about it. |

I'll Quote the letter I got: *Contamination of an anti-lock braking system sensor which can cause the ABS ECU software to incorrectly interpret the sensor signal. A change at the start of model year 2002 production corrected that problem . *At time of production, the accelerator cable can become kinked during vehicle assembly. This recall extends beyond the D263 recall into model 2002 vehicles. When I took it in, my Invoice said D274 - inpsect throttle cable. I hope this helps. Kai |

They did both of these to our late 1999 DII. The first is the SLABS ABS software upgrade. Car would not accept the upgrade until they sorted a rear suspension problem. The second was an inspection and then replacement of the throttle cable running from the throttle body back to the pedal. What the SLABS upgrade did do was prevent the warning lights from coming on frequently for no reason. www.worst4x4.freeservers.com |
