So I have just completely riped one of the side lugs off one of my BFG M/Ts and I can see a little bit of metal sticking out. Anyone want to tell me how bad this is?

these tires are actually only 2 months old is the warranty you are talking about one through BFG??? The shop that sold me the things is now 400 miles away so it will be a problem going back there.

Pulled this from the BFG web site.

Q If I have a flat tire, is this covered by my warranty?
A If your tire loses air because of a defect in workmanship or materials, and if the tire falls within warranty wear and age parameters, it may be covered under warranty.

Other more common causes of sudden or slow air loss which are not covered by warranty include:

Road hazard injuries (punctures, cuts, impact damage to the liner, ply material or sidewall rubber).

Valve stem or valve core leakage (damaged or aged rubber stem or a loose or damaged valve core).

Leaking from the bead seating area (corrosive buildup on the wheels which prevents a proper seal between the wheel flange and the tire beads, bead seating area damage from accidental mounting or dismounting injury, foreign material between the rim flange area and the tire bead seating area, bent rim flange).

Thanks Eric I was just about to search the web site so you saved me some trouble, it looks like im gonna have to find a tire shop that will replace it even though I didn't buy it from them. I wonder if the BFG warranty covers the cost of labor the shop will spend mounting and balancing the thing???

Ifyou got the tire from a large chain like sears, tires plus, NTB or some place like that then they should all help you out. If you got it from a mom and pop place then you may have more of an issue. Just start calling around. Good luck.

yeah, it came from a mom and pop place but the good news is my dad writes their insurance so worse come to worse I'll probablly just switch it with the spare and let them deal with it when I go home for x-mas.
