My alignment on my Disco was off after I installed new 265/75 tires and OME suspension. It wasn't that bad so I've procrastinated on getting it fixed. Lately it has gotten worse and yesterday I felt a strange "sticking/sliping" feeling when moving the wheel back and forth while stationary. Upon further inspection I could that the steering linkage that crosses in front of the differential was loose on the driver side. I tightened it up (and checked the passenger side) and the strange feeling went away however my alignment was way off (nearly quarter turn to the right to go straight). This morning I took the car in for an alignment and all is a little better but not completly fixed. If I make a hard left turn the wheel centers fine and the truck tracks sraight. If I make a hard right turn the wheel does not align center (it is about 1 inch to the right) when the truck is going straight. Any ideas on what to check to correct this? Something seems to be sticking in the steering when turning right. Thanks, Rob |
