I'm newbie when comes to the Disco. My front shocks are leaking and need to be replaced. I was thinking if I am going to replace them it might be a good time to do the CB lift (rear to front, replace rear springs). Can I just replace the front shocks while doing this? Do I need longer shocks all around?? Thanks. |

If it was my I would replace all the shocks. I figure that if the front ones are leaking then the rears will probably go out soon as well.. Plus, the car will ride and feel better with the new shocks. But, that's just my opinion. |

With the shocks off you can move them by hand and see if they are bad. Loose spots, general lack of resistance or leaks necessitae replacement, even for a cheap bastard.

Do you need longer shocks? That depends on what you are planning on doing with your Disco. If you're not planning on heavy off-roading, something like the Bilstein HD is a great choice (I'm using those right now myself). However, if you want to do more serious off-roading then there are better shock choices that the other owners are more knowledgeable than myself. |

I just did a CB lift, as my OME fronts are on backorder. It's a pretty rough frickin' ride....and my rear spring have alomost 100k on them....you might want to check out OME MD's....worth the money, and especially the effort once you realize you don't like the Cheap Bastard lift. my two cents, IMHO |

Please let us know how you like the ride of the OME HD fronts. If you think CB is too stiff maybe you should get RTE #189 rather than 751s 2 cents Ron |
