What would be better XD8000i or XD9000i for a defender 90 station wagon? |

They both are the same speed and both with an integrated solenoid. So the only difference is 1000 pounds of pulling power. Usually with a 90 you can get away with an 8000 pretty easily. But between the two... why not have more power? Thats my opinion, for further info please do a Keyword search... <----------- |

I am pretty sure there is another difference between the two besides the 1K pulling power but I cant remember. I know I have heard guys talking about it, either something to do whith how hard it is to stall it out or something with the brake I believe. Anyway what I do know is that I have used a 9K and a 8K and for only $100 more or so for the 9K it is well worth it. That 8K of my friends is always stalling out and it is only on a jeep, I have yet to stall the 9,000 on my disco going through some of the same stuff he does. |

Don't forget they do make the 15,000lb Hmmmm,Hmmmm. You could make up the cash by pulling F350's out of big holes. |
