I will be upgrading to a RTE 3" spring lift here in the next month. Id appreciate any words of advice from you guys about what all I am going to need. Installation I am experienced with, but the consequential modifications necessary with a 3" lift. Most importantly I would appreciate Rancho shock part numbers for both a normal and conservative length shock with this lift. With those shock must I immediately upgrade rear shock mounts? Clearly I will in the future, but do I need to right away? Cones are a given. What will be DS issues? How are vibrations best remedied on a D1 w/ Rotoshit? Will that need to be immediate? Any other little tidbits I may have forgotten to inquire about... feel free to throw them my way. I really appreciate your help guys. Thanks.

are you getting cones at the same time? i didn't get any vibes off of my 3" kit. i also have a roto and haven't had problems with that either.
don't forget to extend the brake lines. to put new lower rear shock mounts, you're going to have to remove the lower shock cups. John can helpyou with what shocks you should use. i got pics of my full install if you want them.

right now I am running the 12 inch shock in the rear with RTE upper and lower mounts(eyelet-eyelet mount instead of normal eyelet-post mount. The part numper for the 12 inch shock is 9005 for rancho. THis is also what I will be running up front with RTE lower mounts and Disco2 shock towers.
If you want to use stock mounts, you can use rancho shock # 9234 (i think thats the number...) which is something like a 10 inch shock.
Also, dont forget to do rear brake lines ....
To get exactly what you want, call John @ RTE next week...i just saw him yesterday and he said he wont be at the shop til then because of his vacation....

What about Bilstein part numbers? Are there options? I want to retain instead of cone. Mike J.

I was also considering putting a long travel setup in the rear with bilsteins. RTE cones and either 5100 or 6100 bilsteins. I currently have OME heavy springs all around and bilstein "regular" shocks. I love the ride of the bilsteins but since I put RTE 2"spacers all around I've noticed a loss of travel. Should I just replace the rear shocks and add cones? I don't want to use retainers because the heavy springs are very stiff. How long a shock can/should I go with 8", 10", 12", 14"? Can I put longer shocks in the front? Thanx
