I am looking for feedback and any information on running OME N76 shocks in the rear suspension.

Ned Connelly, I hear you went with this setup. How do you like it? Did you run an OME spring and spacer in the rear too, or a different spring? What lift are you working with? Any pics.

Moe,

I too am running htose shocks in the rear. I custom made a bottom mount and used the stock LR upper mount. I did not incline them more so as to use more of the shocks dampening since it is softer then the N46.
I am running 762s and an RTE cone. I also have custom made rear trail links. You can see pictures in the 'Lebanon' trails in the trails section. The pictures in my photo gallery are of the old (#3) suspension setup.
I will have new photos on soon.
Cheers,

Nadim, can you provide more description on your custom lower mount. And what size spacer are you running under the 762s?

Moe...
The lower mount is a simple mount made from 5mm steel bent in a U shape that converts the Eye to a pin mount...that is all. Make sure that it is compact enough since space is limited.
I was running a 4" block under the 762s, but have taken them out, So now I only have a 2" lift, nothing more. The RTE cones, at 6" long, limit the uptravel. I am planning on installing bumpstops INSIDE the rear springs on the differential that will bump into these cones at full compression...
Is that clear enough for you?

Thanks Nadim. It was clear until you started talking about the bumpstops installed inside the spring. I can wait for further details on that one :)

I suppose it is just a matter of getting the shock and fabricating a lower mount. I will have decide to make either a weld or bolt on bracket.

Moe - FYI those conversion mounts are really cheap - only about $10 from what I've seen.

Thanks Bill. That looks like the way to proceed. Bolt those into where the post would normally go.

I never would like to weld...a bolt can be undone and is sometimes stronger than a weld. Those 10$ seem very reasonnable. I fabricated mine, costing me close to nothing, but that torch flame was hot.
I don't even understand that inside-the-spring-bump-stop???
Cheers
