Planning and OME Lift next weekend. Does anyone have specifics on what needs to be trimmed for these tires after the lift. Needless to say I wont be doing any off roading between now and then because I have serious tire rub on the back end. On the front there doesnt seem to be any body rub, it is just from the radius arms. What do I need to do about that? I have 1.5 rotations on the steering wheel and then it rubs. I have heard of steering bumpstops but I have no idea where they are or where to mount them or even where to buy them. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

It will be the HD OME lift.

Hey Rob. After the OME HD lift did you have to do anything to your vehicle to get the tires to fit? I have the lift already and am now looking for the tires.

Thanks!

To fix the rubbing on radius arms, you will need to at the minimum adjust your steering stops. You might have to get longer, stronger bolts to be able to adjust them enough.

trim it

I have the OME 2" and 265/75's. Adjust the STEERING stops out a bit (not the bump stops). It's simply a bolt, easy to find, easy to fix. As far as the trimming, the only thing I had to trim was the plastic bumper caps (with a coping saw) and about an inch off of the rear fender wells (with the Dremel). You'll love the new size when off-roading...

Don't bother with the trimming. Just space out the fenders at the rear.
