Where is the most affordable place to get diff guards?

well most affordable would be to strap a jock strap with a cup in it around the diffs.
but some places run 'specials' and all that. some places to look into are:

rovers north
safari gard (some people don't like them)
atlantic british

check with nathan too and see what he has in stock. [email protected]

speaking of diff guards, did anybody ever hear back from QT about their diff guards? Someone had acually bought a set for his RR and was waiting for them to arrive - how are they? QT never answered my email...must not want to sell anything...

They never answered my email either. I emailed Land Rover Enthusiast where I had seen them, and they passed it along to QT who then emailed me, but when I replied to QT, again nothing. It think they may have an email problem. I have their phone number if anybody wants it but I tried it to no avail. I don't seem to know how to dial international properly.

Josh, the mantec diff guard might not be the most affordable but they are bomb proof!

Take a look here. The one pictured looks like a weld on variety.

I agree that QT's email might be hosed up. I never received a response either. I finally got tired of waiting and happened to be up at 1AM so I called them. They don't currently make them for the DII but have had lots of requests and are working on it. They asked me to check back in about a month. Since it was an International call, I didn't stay on to chat with them beyond that.

I think that I'm willing to wait for awhile. Their design looks sweet. Full wrap around protection for the diff and it extends far enough to provide the same protection as Rockware's pinion guard.

If you need to call them, dial 110-44-1503240770. This should work from anywhere in the U.S.

011-44-(150) 324-0770

This is how you dial GB, it looks a little more like domestic U.S. calling if you see it this way!

Cheers,

Erik

Talked with them this morning. His computer was hit by lightning. He hopes to be back online soon. You can either call him or give him a little while to get back online. Either way I'll let y'all know how the guards are. He says that for LR's with "the steering on the wrong side" that you have to weld on bolting points on the front diff. Anybody in the market for one slightly used $G front diff guard?

Scott, did you order both front and rear or just front? Did you get them for a DI or do they have the DII available now?

Thanks,
Rick

Front and back. I have a D1, didn't ask about D II.
