I'm pretty set on getting the magnecor 8mm (or is it the 8.5??) wire set along with some premiium spark plugs for 97 disco...
but I cant exactly find where to purchase them. Any help would be much appreciated seeing how its been -way- too long since the last swap out.

Hey Chase,
I was looking into doing the same thing. I have a '95 Disco and the only place I found was directly from magnecor. I've been told by someone who was trying to sell them that they won't sell to him any cheaper than they do the general public. So he wasn't able to compete with them. The price they sell them for is $60.95 for the 8mm and $98.19 for the 8.5mm. That's for a 3.9 engine. For the 4.0 the prices are $58.38 and $97.66 I've been told the stock wires are 7mm and the 8's fit with a little effort. I think the 8.5's are really difficult to fit. Hopefully someone here will chime in with some experience on the issue. Good Luck.

Also you will need to get some larger wire loom seperators the 7 mm stockers wont work and will damage the wires there softer silcone. Go to www.jegs.com for the seperators, i used the 2 piece plastic ones from Mallory. Another good wire option is the new MSD waterproof wires 8.5 MM. Dont get me wrong i have a set of Magnacores very plesed with them also i am about to order a set for my wifes car and my Motor Home.. I think the owner likes Land Rovers he used to run specials all the time..

I have the Magnacor 8.5mm on my 97 Disco 4.0 No problems other than had to by new wire looms for the larger diameter wires.
