The rear electric windows on my Disco ('94) work randomly...

I couldn't get them to work using the switches in the front, so I reached round to the rear and the drivers side rear worked using the switch on the rear door....after that, both rear windows magically worked using the switches in the front !! ??

Having said that, I haven't been able to replicate it - now they just work randomly, so perhaps it was a fluke.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Matt.

You might need a control unit, this looks like a good buy if it holds it's price

I'll check the fuse, but sounds like I need one of those control units.

Thanks for the eBay link Dee, they are £48 ($80~ish) in the UK new, so I could save myself quite a bit - Here's hoping !!

Fuse was okay,

E-Mailed eBay seller of control unit to ask if he would post to UK, but no reply, so I guessed that meant 'no' !

Can't really justify spending $80 on a new one yet as I rarely ever carry anyone in the back.

It's going in for a service at the end of the month, if it doesn't require much doing to it beyond the standard service, I might replace the unit. Does anyone know where this unit is ? or how easy it is to get to ?

Thanks

Matt.
