And that bumper comes with a very serious warning label:

Looks strange with the A bar. Or maybe it's just the A bar that look strange.

Maybe if it had a frog lip it wouldn't look so strange?

Um, I'm pretty sure it would look even more strange with a frog's lip hanging off of it.. Besides, that would have to be one pretty damn big bull frog to have a lip big enough..

How's the strength of that setup? ie. lateral winching and rear winching via under the truck and un uppercut to the front fender portion area.

Because it sure looks perty and I am in the market. See the "Lets Get Ready to Rumble (Winch bumpers)" thread

Thanks

I prefer to just bolt a 2X6 to the front end.

Another good looking KLR, although I like the looks and design of the KRB the most. The only thing left to do is protect the lower portions of the electric motor and gearbox on the winch from direct impact.

Who's Disco is that and who makes that bumper.

Thanks

Ross, It's Kyle's white Disco and yes he is the owner of roversolutions.com.. It's his own bumper.

Rob, Kyle starting to bend his own tubes huh, I think what I don't like about it is the roundness of the A-bar tube. It just looks like a semi circle to me. I'm not saying it sucks or anything I'm just saying it looks a little strange. Not like I could do any better so my opinion doesn't count anyway. I like his other ones better then that one.

Ross, only issue you will have if you want to go the way of the Kyle is that you want to bolt up a planetary winch. Kyle won't do that, only worm gears (RE's, Husky, etc).

Did he bastardize a LR A-frame.. or is it mounted seperately? Nice setup!

yeah eric, that was one of the first bends he did.
the radii need to match the lights better, but he was in a pinch for time. i agree it's a bit odd, the sides arent parrallel either. minor problem though.

the protection for below the winch, that s taken care of, though not shown.

Cute and sophisticated. An entire level above just plain cute.

How is the winch protected from below? From the pics, it looks like it was running wild and naked over the Rubicon rocks!

as i said, it's not shown there but the design is pretty much done, just have to get the pcs cut and weld it on. just wanted to clear up that that has been addressed.

I actually like it fine as is. The hoop could be a little wider but I think it was matched with the angles on the bumper (if you were to look from the top down - i same width as frame rails). The height of the hoop would prevent radiatior damage in case of roll-over and it does hold 2 light. That's all I ask of an A-bar to do.

Good job.

All the bumpers have had protection underneath. I was in a time crunch on that one and it had to ride as is. The whole thing is for sale by the way..... :)
