I have a 99 DII. I would like to know how many people have a DII and put a 2" lift on theirs. I have a couple of questions. 1. I have SLS. I went to a place that wants $1200 with tires 31's T/A's to do the lift. Thats springs shocks and the sensor bracket. Is this to much or about right. Is it somthing I can do myself. I can turn a wrench and have plenty of tools. A 3" lift was about $3300. 2. Did you notice a big difference in the 2" lift was it worth it. I would like to feel like I am "climbing" in and out of the truck. 3. Does it look alot bigger that is also a important factor. 4. does the car handle well on the road? I off road with my car about 3 times a year so I want it to preform off road but more important on road. thanks ken |

If on road performance is more important than off road just leave it alone. There are plenty of other modifications you can do if you just want "the look" (roof racks, auxilary lighting, brush bars, ect.) Not trying to sound like a jerk but if you don't really do much offroading a suspension lift and oversized tires are really going to just become more of a pain in the ass than they are worth after the novelty of how cool they look wears off. |

I don't have ace. As far as just looks; I want a big truck. I already have a SG bumper (front) and Aux lights. Roof rack is a little impractical for me plus I like my sunroofs. I think 3 times a year (thats once every 3-4 months) is rather respectable. Also I would just like to have my truck stand out from the crowd. Ken |

Check the tech. section on www.expeditionexchange.com. There is a DII lift link that should answer most of your questions. |
