My ABS brakes have been acting up lately. They have been acting over sensitive. When I wiggle my ABS sensor wires, the problem goes away for a while. I would like to know how to remove the sensors properly for cleaning, carefully and with what tools this has been doen successfully. I really don't want to mess them up. The light has been on for a week now. Thanks in advance.

Remove the tire, use a wide flathead screwdriver and pry up on the sensor. It will eventually pop out. There is nothing but friction holding it in there.

Do you just wipe them off real good and put them back or is there more to it???

Thank you. I'll give it a try. I was going to clean them off and cover it with dielectric grease. Does anyone have any objections to this before I do it? Good, Bad?

G #2, when you purchase a new sensor, they come with some type of grease for putting on the sensor. It's probably not a bad idea to put a light coating of grease on the sensor before putting it back in. Also, there is a copper bushing in the hole which is friction fit to the sensor. Take a thin flat screwdrivwer and bend it inwards a little to get a little more friction before you tap the sensor back in.
