Anyone ever had the canvas/rubber seat bottom support fail? Had it one year and the rubber finally tore. Is this LR specific or a generic local upholstery item? Mean time I'm grounded as the seat is out. |

Time for the other CB lift. When mine broke, I took one of those stadium seats and worked it under there (between the t bar and the bottom of the seat). I honestly can't tell the difference between the feel of the new, CB fix and the other seat, which is original. |

Man I really liked the way that seat "sat". Your idea probably worked great but I had to do some other maintenance and repairs (console etc) so I'm gonna try to hold out. Joe |

I took a piece of foam, cut it, duct taped it to a cut piece of plywood square, and used a mallet to knock that sucker up into the underside of the seat, below the cushion, but above the metal framework, works great, a little more firm, and doesn't sag at all anymore. Had to do both seats this summer. much better. |

Atlantic British says dealer only part. Local upholstery shop that has done MGs (who apparently use the rubber/mesh screen combo support unit) can do it. Will update tomorrow when I get it back. Sounds like this is not an uncommon problem. |
