i am putting on OME HD setup this weekend on my girlfriends D2 and will be fitting 265/75-16's on it next week. how much, if any, rubbing is there on the front from the bumper/airdamn?

thanks

ps: not to worry......putting white letters in on hers!!

Garrett,
265/75's will fit on a stock DII, with just a minor modification to the front fender wall. See: here

I suspect even with the small lift you'll get from HD springs, you will still need to move the fender a bit.

Garrett,

I did the exact setup you are planning. I had no rubbing on the fender wall, without modification.

I'm running Dunlop Rover R/T in 265/75-16.

these will be Cooper Discoverer S/T's. i guess i will just have to put them on and see how they fit. then proceed with Erik's mod if necessary.

thanks much guys.

ditto: same lift, same tire size (A/T) you are putting on. no tinkering with the fenders, no rubbing.

I'll confirm that too. I've got 265/75 with OME on my DII and there is no rubbing at all.

I am running the 256/75 Rover R/T's with OME lift and get a slight rub with articulation. I could emilinate it by a minor adjust of the steering stops on one side, but it is not bad enough to justify the small effort.

Garrett,

The Barrens was a lot of fun today. Here's a pic of those tires.
