Guys, I need your help on this one. I have a DII thats prety much stock. If I get stuck, where can I attach a recovery rope to the front of my truck? I've read on the board that to use the front eyelet is a bad idea and I dont want to pick up an after market-bumper quite yet. Any ideas aout there? Thanks Neil 01DII |

The only point is the one behind the plastic cover on the driver side (left hand drive) on the lower apron of the bumper. It's not the best point but if you have street tires chances are you'll only need a light pull to get you out. |

do you have the stock LR brush guard? if so you CAN use the small loops on them. just have to be careful and be nice. and try and use both of them at the same time to spread the load. watch the rotation of the guard as well. can rotate back into the hood. crank those bolts on the frame good too before you venture out anytime. |

Thanks Al and GP I have street tires but I will be upgrading shortly and no LR brush-bar. I guess the eyelet will have to do. anyone else? |

an easy solution can be to weld some jate rings to the frame up towards the front (hanging down). cheap and easy way to get some recovery points. not the most practical, but you don't have many choices without an aftermarket bumper. |
