I'm trying to mount driving lights on the factory brushbar. A problem arose when I compared the size of the bolt on the lights to the holes (pretty obviously intended to mount lights) on the brushbar: the holes are too small? Aside from the apparently easy way to make this work (make the holes bigger), are there any issues regarding the strength of the brushbar to hole lights? Thanks in advance, Andy |

Andy; The bush bar is just that - to direct skinny little plants around the front end. It can probably take a little impact but if you were to clobber something on the top bar - kiss it goodbye. That being said, I don't see how a slightly oversized hole is going to compromise the strength of the bush bar. In otherwords, go ahead and enlarge the holes a little, I can't imagine what difference it will make in the long run. If you do smash into a tree/rock/other truck, that bar would have been toast anyhow. my 2 cents |
