Went wheelin' today and when i got home it looks like my "pig" sustained a bit of damage. The power steering pump is leaking REALLY bad, along with the center diff, and where the engine bolts to the trans. Do you think my warrenty will cover this, or am i screwed. The PS pump is really bad. Oil everywhere underneigh, actually they are all leaking pretty bad. Also, my visc. fan seems to stay on all the time now, what's up with that? Any ideas??? I didn't hit anything, there is not body damage, undercarraige damage, etc.

Thanks a lot

Zak

Clean it off before you take it in for dealer work.

Didn't you say they just put a new steering box in that thing? Did you check to see if it was not leaking before the offroad trip? Cross seals leaking, t-case leaks, and steering leaks would be about average for a disco I, maybe it happened before :)

Thanks for the pic's Paul... I wish we had taken some of when it was totally covered in that mud!!!! My engine compartment looked just like the outside, same color!!

Bob, the p steering pump was replace about 2 months ago, it didn't want to turn the car to the right. It was leaking a little before we went. Not enough to drip on the driveway, but the bottom of is would have a little wettness to it. Now it's all over the drivers side axel, and everything around it.

I've read many times how these things leak so much. I'll just try to get the dealer to fix it as long as i can while it's under warrenty. It's a "certified" with 38K, so i have a while to have them fix the leaks before I have to get all dirty fixing it myself.

And how do you put in those smiley faces?

Get it in before it goes into the "certified" part of the coverage. Much easy to get things done that way. Tell the about ALL the leaks and how you expect them ALL to be fixed and how you will check after its done.

No, we didn't go out. Stayed in and watched "Beaches" over a nice Chardanay. :)

Kidding, but we really ended up not going out after all that talk.

Message in a bottle is much better than Beaches!!! :)

We would up going to Babies R Us and buying some stuff for the nursery. Now I'm home sanding down the floor with a big ass sander. I just had to call out "sick" today, plus I need to detail the disco a bit.
