Ron -

My 96 says 6019 GVWR.

What kind of a trailer are you looking for?

6019 lbs? Wow that's heavy. I'm looking for a car hauler trailer that I can tow my trail rigged Disco with. I found a 7000 gvwr trailer today but that won't get it. The trailer weighs 900 lbs and I guess my disco weighs 6000 plus all the crap i've added to it. Geez I had no idea they weighed so much...

The brochure for my 1996 Discovery says the curb weight (no people or cargo) is 4,465 pounds, while the gross vehicle weight (fully loaded) is 6,019 pounds.

I took mine ('97 D1 SE7) to the scales at the local recycling center and with the Safari rack and me in it( no winch, sliders, or heavier bumpers) ... it weighed 5250 pounds. I now have RTE sliders, and diff guards which will add about another 100 pounds or so.
