There is a very loud gurgling sound comming from the passenger footwell or behind the dash of my Disco. None of the floor boards have been wet and the A/C drainage tubes seem clear. Im getting worried because the sound is getting louder and more persistant, mainly when I stop or accelerate from a stop. What is going on here?

Coolant was just slightly low, but I do not think enough to be a problem. Thanks for the input.

If it is becoming more persistent I think it your coolent reservoir has developed stress cracks along the seam around the reservoir, and is allowing air to come in and out. If this is the case, get one of the new reservoirs and replace it. It's an easy fix, takes about 10 minutes.

I had the gurgling problem and it would ocure in the mornings. The problem just went away by itself. I think it has to do with air in the heater core. Try turning the heat to full on, then burp the air out of the system while the engine is running.

Does this happen when using AC only? It can be a valve (don´t know the English name of this valve...) in the AC system causing this noice when the level of cooling medium is getting low.
