I use to have a 79 Toyota pickup with old discontinued Kelly Safari tires (31 x 10.50) that had knarly lugs on the sidewall that would climb out of any rut and tamer all terrain tread in the middle. The never disappointed me, but I was just a kid and never did anything but urban mud bogging. I have a '98 Disco and will be getting a OME lift and am looking at 235/85 tires. The Kelly Safari DTR looks interesting and I like the price compared to BF and GY muds. Um, yeah. They don't carry Kelly. Other than the Dunlop Rover R/T, what are other cheep mud terrains? |

There have been a lot of pretty good write ups on Futura tires, which are made by Cooper. Also, Procomp and Swampers and Baja's in that size are pretty reasonably priced. |

here is the link to a Big O tire Big O XT Kelly makes the Big O and the Summits. The Summits are called the Summit Trailclimber CT and if you poke around and the tire guy likes you enough he should be able to hook you up. They're good tires. RJ |

The Kuhmo Mud Terrains look good and got good reviews in 4Wheel & Offroad magaine as I have heard. Sounds like the Dunlop Rover RT's would be similar to that old Kelly tread. |
