Anyone ever hear of problems about putting fuel in Discos/any rovers? Been giving me problems for several months now. Keeps shutting off like tank is full when it is not. Dealer told me I dont know how to fuel my car after 4 years. Vapor system perhaps? Again, dealer says I'm full of @%#&. Any ideas will be GREATLY appreciated. This problem is very aggravating.

I've had the same problem with my 98 Disco. It usually happens on hot days when I've been on extremely long road trips. It happened once while I was passing through NJ, apparently self-serve is not lawful in NJ. I was 300 miles into a tank of gas and had a VERY difficult time explaining to the not so fluent in English attendant that Land Rovers do NOT get 30 mpg.

If I remember correctly I believe there was a recall on the fill tube or something like that.

Dont let it get down to E. If so put three or four dollars drive a bit then come back to fill up.

Dealer fixed my 98 on warranty. They said it was a common problem. The mech. modified it somehow.
