95 Disco with 90K miles on it. Recently whenever I started the vehicle and tried to back up from my parking space and press brake pedal, I hear ear piercing noise from somewhere down there near wheels when I steer the wheel and press the brake pedal.
The genuine land rover swivel grease was put into the vehicle 20K miles ago.
I recently replace brake pads(those were 3rd pads) but still have original rotors both front and back and I know it might be thinner Is it the sign of worn rotors?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Is the ear-piercing noise more like a screech (worn out brake pads) or more like a grinding/screching noise (wheel bearings)?

Thanks for the post, Aron.
It's more like a screech and the front brake pads were replaced last year and rear one were replaced about couple of months ago.
I think rotors are now thiner than LR spec (it's the original rotors with 90K miles) and do you think it's related?

regards,
kim

It could also be a small rock or sand stuck between the pad and rotor. This happens occasionally off-road and squeals like hell.
