We can laugh all we want but that's the sort of thinking that invented the Wankel rotory engine. A great lil racing engine! And FYI, I heard that Wankel was german and went to Porche first with his idea, and was laughed at! Talk about sweet revenge!!! Mazda paid him a fortune and made a bigger fortune with it! I can't stop laughing though!

NO! That's not even close to the type of thinking that went into the wankel! The wankel was engineered! Some lame-brained moron (rather, opportunist preying on the ignorant masses) came up with the "electric turbo" idea. Apparantly, people can read "flow rates" but nobody bothers to check whether the fan can produce any positive manifold pressure at a flow-rate high enough to benefit the engine.
Sadly, with the widespread availability of these marine pumps, and/or smog pumps, and whatever other pumping device short of an actual super or turbocharger, everybody looks at them and completely forgets that if it actually worked, somebody smarter than them would have already put the idea in production.
The Wankel worked...this crap doesn't.
But, yeah...I'm laughing too!

Carter , if you dont believe the magic of the mud flaps look in the trip galleries for that last trip. All through Rubicon I kkept my rear flaps and I came out as clean as clean could be. Once we got into Dusi I lost em both and the bashing commenced...

They must work differently up there where you are Kyle, Im telling you I cut mine off and my truck imediatly rose another 2 inches off the ground, started running on diesel, and instead of leaking oil it drips out draft guiness. Best mod I ever did.
