Anyone running John's "blade" front bumper on a Disco1? I currently have a big ass ARB and would like something more streamlined like the blade. Wonder what the difference in weight from the ARB without winch to the Blade with winch is?

Anyone got pics (other than the RTE web page)?

Will,

Green Disco? The one with my OME coils? I thought it already had an ARB. I'll let you know what happens and YES I am going to Tellico in April.

I really want that blade. need to speak to John at RTE though. The ARB I have is non-airbag winch bumper. Drivers side has a very slight bend to it. I will upload a pic or two to my photo gallery tonight if I can.

Peter,

Is it just me or does that blade bear an uncanny resemblance to this one: http://www.expeditionexchange.com/pelican/DSC00124.jpg

Put an RE12000 on that blade and you've basically got Kyle's bumper.

they're actually designed slightly different, even though they look similar.

The rovertym seems much narrower at the sides, And the weight i can only guess in the neighborhood of 100 lbs but not over.

Thank you Ron!!!!! Being a newbie (and knowing nothing about anything under the hood) I recently went to my local Land Rover dealer in Atlanta (Buckhead) for my $52,500 mile checkup. Ron helped me out because all of a sudden after the first 50,000 miles of checkups with no problems, they found 3 leaks in my car. The kicker, this was the first checkup since my warranty expired. I wrote down what they wanted to fix and quickly emailed Ron with the info and asked his advice. He told me other places to go and told me what needed to be done now and what could be put off to later. I ended up telling them to fix one of the leaks as advised by Ron.

Thanks again buddy! The annual Solaros dues has paid for itself already!

Wow, I like that bumper/bullbar. Are there any more pictures of that truck? I really like how it is set up. Anyone know if the bullbar portion of the bumper is from a stock bullbar? Everyone says the stock ones are crap but is it the whole unit that sucks or just the bumper/mounting? The bumper I can make but the tube bending etc is beyond me.

Thanks for any info you can give. And nice truck to whoever that is.

That's Kyle Van Tassel, one of the owners of the board. He has been road testing in preparation of manufacturing the bumper for awhile now. I believe he is pretty close to actually selling some units as it seems some of the people in his area are selling off their current setups.
