now that the weather is getting colder, I am thinking about installing the heated seat kit in my '01 SD (with leather seats). I recall some threads regarding this issue from early in the year with respect to whether or not the heating elements were already installed in the seats. Has anyone determined an east way to tell if they are there? I did a search in the archives and it didn't turn up anything. Thanks for the help |

I think you can find this in the tech section of Disco2.com. |

Best $65 option is to buy the switches and switch plate, pug in the switches, and try it out. It worked for my early 2001 DII. Or you could remove the seat cover and visually check -- you'd save some cash, but experience lots of agravation. Besides, if you got the switches and it didn't work, you'd have factory looking switches to wire your ARB's, etc. |

I removed the switch plate and found the two harnesses with sockets. I then removed a heated seat switch from a friends Disco to try in mine. It worked so I then ordered the new switch plate and switches. www.worst4x4.freeservers.com |
