My ABS likes to kick in all the time now which is scary sometimes when I can't stop the truck. I pulled the 5 amp fuse under the dash a while back but it kept making the check engine light come on so I put it back.

Is there something else I can do to stop this problem and is there a way I can try to fix the ABS??

Thanks in advance!!

Try pulling the 40 amp fuse for the ABS pump which is under the hood - this "should" not activate any light other than the ABS one.

If you've tried the obvious of reseating the sensor - -it is probably a bad sensor - just a matter of figuring out the correct one. Thought I saw a post recently about measuring resistence of each - but don't remember under what thread it was.

Is it best to pull the sensor completely out and clean it and then put it back in?

What is the correct procedure for pulling and reinstalling the sensors??

use a flatheaded screwdriver to pry it up enough for you to grab by hand and pull it out. friction is the only thing holding it in.
