My ABS likes to kick in all the time now which is scary sometimes when I can't stop the truck. I pulled the 5 amp fuse under the dash a while back but it kept making the check engine light come on so I put it back. Is there something else I can do to stop this problem and is there a way I can try to fix the ABS?? Thanks in advance!! |

Try pulling the 40 amp fuse for the ABS pump which is under the hood - this "should" not activate any light other than the ABS one. If you've tried the obvious of reseating the sensor - -it is probably a bad sensor - just a matter of figuring out the correct one. Thought I saw a post recently about measuring resistence of each - but don't remember under what thread it was. Bill |

Is it best to pull the sensor completely out and clean it and then put it back in? What is the correct procedure for pulling and reinstalling the sensors?? |

use a flatheaded screwdriver to pry it up enough for you to grab by hand and pull it out. friction is the only thing holding it in. |
