Couple of years ago, I thought British Pacific sold a rear mount (reciever mount??) rack. Does anybody have any info? I was thinking about fabricating one, but if I could spend the money and not pull my hair out designing one then..... |

No, the rack I'm speaking of was a swing away that could hold a couple of fuel cans and the spare.I think that you could also get a shelf that mounted above the spare.. However, a friend of mine bought one of those racks and promplty destroyed it when he backed out of his parents steep ass driveway!! |

Call AB, they're usually very helpful... 800 533-2210 They have a "basket" receiver rack but its not a swing-away like you want. I looked in the Fall 2002 catalog and didn't see what your looking for. Yeah, I worry about bashing mine because I forget that its back there. Don't know what will happen when someone hits it from behind. |

I have been thinking of the same thing I think, I wanted to build a rack that held two cans and essentially pushed the spare tire out a little further off the back door, the only think I came up with other than fabrication was to pirate one from a jeep oriented company, they seem to have things like that quite often. BTW, I am new to posting, I bought a 94 Disco a few months ago and have loved every minute of trying to get it legal in the state of Va (Its been offroad quite a bit, which left the inspection process a lot to be desired). This forum has been great for information before, during, and after I get out there and try to figure it out rather than paying the dealership. She's finally cleared now (not that everything works, but it appears to at least) Thanks to all! Ray |

Cooper, I think I have seen those when doing searches on the net. If I remember correctly, they kept popping up on Jeep,4X4,etc. sites. If I come across one I'll post a link. Ken |

cooper, it was on brit pac's site. it used to be in the "whats new" section, before they updated the site. i think it was mainly for d-90's but they did offer it for other vehicles. give them a call and see if they have it. rd |

Okay, I guss I missed the boat on that one. The guy who made these didn't have enough business so he went out of business- and will not sell the plans.. guess i'll have to put my brain on and relearn how to weld... |
