Does anyone have any suggestions for removing a red ink stain from leather seats? I left my sunroofs open and a book that was in the front seat got soaking wet. The ink on the cover of the book ran and left a huge stain. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks |

I have had this problem a lot latley as my 2 yr old daughter likes to write on our sofas and our cars. Anyway I have tried EVERYTHING to get ink out of leather and only came across one that worked. Out of total desperation I tried Gumout carb. cleaner. takes it right off. Now I wouldn't use this a cleaner and definatly try it in a spot that you can't see first to make sure it doesn't damage you seats. I have done this on more than one occasion so I know it works just be carfull not to damage your seats, ken |

What about hair spray? I know it will remove ink from cloth. Just a thought |

For Ken and Dave -- The no markers/pens/pencils in the car rule must be strictly enforced. That's the number one rule my 3 year old knows. If necessary a pat down search can be done as the child is strapped in. It's right up there with the no ice cream cones in the car rule (unless it's Mommy's car). |

hi there----you may also want to try fantastic spray if you have not been successful---I did multiple applications on a large ink stain with light scrubbing and eventually like magic over the course of a week- the stains disappeared---truly it really worked----Dan |
