Does anyone have any suggestions for removing a red ink stain from leather seats? I left my sunroofs open and a book that was in the front seat got soaking wet. The ink on the cover of the book ran and left a huge stain. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have had this problem a lot latley as my 2 yr old daughter likes to write on our sofas and our cars. Anyway I have tried EVERYTHING to get ink out of leather and only came across one that worked. Out of total desperation I tried Gumout carb. cleaner. takes it right off. Now I wouldn't use this a cleaner and definatly try it in a spot that you can't see first to make sure it doesn't damage you seats. I have done this on more than one occasion so I know it works just be carfull not to damage your seats,

What about hair spray? I know it will remove ink from cloth.

Just a thought

For Ken and Dave -- The no markers/pens/pencils in the car rule must be strictly enforced. That's the number one rule my 3 year old knows. If necessary a pat down search can be done as the child is strapped in. It's right up there with the no ice cream cones in the car rule (unless it's Mommy's car).

hi there----you may also want to try fantastic spray if you have not been successful---I did multiple applications on a large ink stain with light scrubbing and eventually like magic over the course of a week- the stains disappeared---truly it really worked----Dan
