Hello All, I've got a 95 Disco that I recently found wet front floors in. After some research, I found the source as the upper front window seal, whichch is now re-sealed. The problem is, however, that the foam padding on the floors must have been soaked for months before I noticied the wet carpet, as I now have several corrosion spots that I get to spend the weekend patching. Once that's done, however, I was considering pulling all of the carpet and foam padding out, and having the interior rhino lined. This is a work truck, and I have gotten tired of cleaning mud out of the carpet anyways. Has anybody else ever thought of doing this? Any suggestions or problems that might come up? Any input would be very much appreciated. Todd |

Rhino is on my list of things to do when the rebuild arrives in a few years. but make sure the metal is good both sides before doing it! |

I herculined mine after sanding all rust out. Did the floorboard front to back and plated the rear (up to the drop-off) in 5-bar diamondplate. I re-installed the carpet up front. I like know it is there and not slowly rusting out from under me. It is also one less thing to worry about when you get wet - just pull the carpet and let it dry. -Marc Ingham |

I had acutally planned on leaving the carper out and just throwing the black rubber mats over the rhino-lining. Seems like it would make it a lot easier to clean. RJ, have you ever used the POR-15 paint? Does it live up to it's claims? I was reading through their website after your post, and while the stuff looks good (godsent almost), it seemed just a little too good. Anybody else got an opinion on the POR-15 paint? -Todd |

POR-15 is as good as it states. My other hobby is a '68 BMW 2002 track rat (known for rust). POR-15 has held up great over the years. IMO I have yet to find a better product. another Todd |
