MY 94 ES 3.9 HAS A SPEED ALARM THAT COMES ON AT 120KMPH.WHAT I WANT TO DO IS IDENTIFY THE WIRE THAT SUPPLIES THIS BEEPER SO I CAN INSERT A SWITCH.I TRAVEL A LOT IN THE NORTHERN TERRITORY IN AUSTRALIA WHERE THERE IS NO SPEED LIMIT AND THE NOISE SHITS ME.

Here in ME it is called Saudi link. Mine was a yellow wire near the fuse box (LHD unit) with a connector in line . It was already separated when I got it. If you also have a chime when key in, door open, it is a white wire coming off the key lock assy, which I cut.

Thanks Jp.As for Will And Leslie what harm did it do that I was so totally ignorant and typed in caps.I am new to this computer forum and think you should have more constructive input than giggling like some schoolkids about someones mistake.GET A LIFE.

Hi Jakey,

First, no offense meant.
Second, typing in caps is the equivalent to yelling, and is considered rude on BBS. The pic is just a humorous way to point it out instead of having a 1000 people flame you the way most other boards would have.
Third, we're all friends here, well, for the most part, except for grouchy Kyle (lol), :), and we constantly rib each other, etc. etc. You just walked in on the middle of it.....

So, IMHO, learn to roll with the punches, or life with a Rover will drive you nuts....

Cheers! Welcome aboard!

Those chimes can be really annoying. I had a rental car in Saudi, and ended up just disconnecting the speedometer cable at the transmission. Just screwed it back on when we were done and had to turn the car back in.

As a side-benefit, the mileage stayed very low on the rental car!
