I have a 00 DII SD, just recently we noticed the entire front passenger floorboard is soaked. We live in an extremely arid climate that has not seen any rain in months and the truck has not been washed (except for today) in over a month, so saturation is internal (no spilt water bottles either). The wetness seems to happen when the AC has been running for a long period of time, AC also works just fine, but I noticed that when parked after the AC and Car has been running, the condensation puddle appears directly under the front passenger floor board, rather than under the AC condenser as it use to. The wetness dries with no AC, with the AC, the wetness appears rather quickly. It starts from the left side of the front passenger foot well (under the carpet), about where the AC comes out at foot level, than accumulates under the rubber floor mat. Ive read somewhere that there is a drain plug hose associated with the AC that gets plugged up, if so, is this a quick fix because my local dealer is absolutely worthless. They can never seem to fix the problem at hand, and nine times out of ten they create additional problems, bottom line, they SUCK! The truck is still well under warranty, but if I can fix this quickly, then my time is worth it. Thanks in advance. PS...All other engine fluids are at correct levels, the internal wetness is not oil or otherwise, it's water. |

You can fix it yourself. It sounds like one or both of the drain tubes are plugged up. You'll have to go under the vehicle and look near the transmission tunnel for the drain plug on either side of the transmission tunnel at about where your feet rest inside the vehicle. Clean out both tubes and watch for falling debris. I've had to do it once to my '99 D2 and that was about two years ago. |

I located two (one on either side) rubber drain plug nipples on the transmission tunnel. The passenger side plug, when removed from the rubber housing, dumped about a GALLON of water out. This was the side (passenger side) that was getting wet on the floor. The driver side was clean and dry. Is this the only plug I should clean and if so have I solved the problem? Thanks again for all your help. |

That should be it. If it happens again just make sure the drain is clear. |
