Anyone added Discovery II fender flares to a Disco I? I looked the subject up in tech but can only find where the fenders were cut for larger tires. I would like to simply screw (or clip into existing holes) the flares into my Disco I fenders, is this possible? I do not have any flares to look at or experiment with yet. I understand Disco II's do not have the side molding like the I's and I don't really want to take my side molding off due to idiots that tend to open doors against other peoples vehicles.

Also, I assume 2 of the 6 pieces are attached to the rear doors. How are the flares attached to Disco II's is prolly the best question to ask?

There have been some people on this board who have done it. I seem to recall that finding the flares for a reasonable price was one of the hardest parts of the job.

I think I may have a good deal on some, they are in the Classifieds-For Sale for $200 from Jonathan Solo (Jsolo)...I was just about to send him the money when I thought I better ask to make sure its not a ridiculous project that I don't want to get into.

The flares are attached with double-sided tape. No screws required. Look around for a totalled DII. I picked up a second set for $80!

You can buy "wheel arch protectors" from AB.

Why not invest 125$ more and get the brand new cut-out flares that can get those sexy big meats in?

Or buy none of them and fit the sexy bit meats, anyway. :)
