I have a 1997 D1 which is corroding badly around the safari windows and also around parts of the windows. Its always been serviced at a LR dealer its whole life but I want to exercise the corrosion warranty now. Can anyone advise me on any good (and willing to help - ideally without the BS) services centers in LA or any surrounding area. I do not want to deal with the Beverly Hills area dealers - so I am willing to drive anywhere within reason. Also - if you have a name of the service technician that would be great. Thanks a lot. |

Never been in for corrosion issues (in LA of all places), but Redondo Beach does a good job; Hornburg (Hollywood) is OK, but you may have to go back. Let me know how things turn out. |

Mark, Thanks I just got back from Hornburg who were great. I have corrosion on the alpine windows (badly), the doors and door posts. They are doing everything next week - all covered under the warranty. No questions - they just said no problem and scheduled it. Thaniks for the recommendation. |

Recently had my 96 serviced for rust on the rear fender wells. Make sure you get in before your 6 years is up. I made it by less than a week. Most importantly make sure that the center that LR takes it to has done a number of these corrosion repairs as I've seen some not-so-good weld jobs. |
