This is from a '96 disco...

Alright slowing down and speeding up (0<x<10 mph) I get this clicking sound, almost like a ping, from what seems to be the pass front end. Only happens when going forward not back. Seems like it started after I accidentally filled the PS system with PS fluid instead of ATF. But that may be just coincidence. Visually I see nothing, but haven't had time to get under there because of the rain.
Anyone else experience this? I thought maybe a birf was a bit worn? but it doesn't do it in reverse.

 treads clear of stones?

sure, would click in reverse if just rock, but you may not be going fast enough in reverse to notice

would check two things. first, loose lug nuts. both tighteness to the lugs, as well as if the caps on the nuts are loose. sometimes the caps can make a clicking noise on the nuts.

second, worn brake pads and rotors. those can make some weird sounds, from squealing to grinding, to clicking.
