In 1999 I went to a classy establishment in Greenville called Diamonds Gentlemen's Club. Not sure if it's still there, but when you're in your early twenties, living in sleepy rural western NC, and celebrating a friend's birthday, it's suitable for the occasion. Other than that, I have no recollection of the town.

Moved here 2 years ago and it's an awesome city. Great food, downtown is one of the best, close to the mountains, a lot of big city perks without thetraffic or crime. As someone who is buying a house tomorrow the market here is batshit crazy depending on where you're looking. Looking to live in town or the burbs?

I lived outside of greenville in a garage for a few years on a nice piece of land. I was basically in Mauldin but I had a Greenville address. I liked the proximity to WNC as well as Atlanta. There was always something to do. I miss it occasionally but Raleigh aint so bad. a little over 3 hours from Eldorado Outpost, 3 hours to Charleston. Not a bad place to be at all.

Ive lived around Greenville my whole life. You want to spend crazy money you can live close to DOwn town. If you want to get a lot for your money go to greer, travelers rest, simpsonville is ok too. If you bike or run and want to be close to the swamp rabbit trail, TR is good. Lots of good stuff in the Paris mountain area. It's close to Greenville, Taylors, TR, and greer.

Be cautious of anything west of the city**

some good investments inside the city but most of the bad neighborhoods has been gentrified already. Still a few rough patches here and there.
