I wouldn't say its for the taste, even though it's pretty good. It's more for giving you coffee & a meal at the same time. The big upside is that it gives you energy until around 2pm, so you aren't starving by lunch time. With my job there are plenty of days where I have to work from early in the morning non-stop until 3pm and one cup of BP coffee does the trick.

I just ordered a couple packages of the stoked stix. I'm a no-frills coffee guy while camping too. Although doing the tatonka grinder in Moab with Snell & Co. while on the slickrock with that storm approaching was funny as hell.

I'm more inclined to spend time making good coffee while camping since I generally don't have anywhere to be. I have to force myself to make coffee in the morning at home instead of paying $3.50 for a large black coffee at the Swedish coffee shop near work.
